Moira Peckham graduated from Cal with a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology in the Spring of 2018. Her thesis work, completed in a partnership with Jun and the community of Abiquiu, New Mexico, delved into community- centered models for engaging with questions regarding land/ resource management, bureaucracy, and memory. She believes that archaeology can and should function as a part of the toolkit of direct action to the benefit of contemporary communities. She currently lives in New York where she works for the Brooklyn Public Library system. She is happy to discuss her work within both archaeology and libraries.
