Keywords: Community Archaeology, Ethnohistory, Land reform in Mexico
My dissertation was on land reform in the municipality of Amealco, Querétaro, Mexico. This work incorporated community archaeology and ethnohistory to tell the story of how Indigenous Otomí communities adapted to changes in land tenure from the colonial period to the Mexican Revolution
I am an anthropological archaeologist by training, but have since developed more of a transdisciplinary orientation in terms of research and writing. I have a strong interest in the social life and cultures of Mesoamerica, past and present, agrarian trajectories in post-colonial Mexico and digital preservation and perspectival interpretation of research materials/experiences obtained through the course of fieldwork.
