I am a third-year undergraduate in anthropology at UC Berkeley with hopes of graduating in the Spring of 2024. I obtained my associate degrees in anthropology and social/ behavioral science from LA Pierce College and transferred to UC Berkeley in the Fall of 2023. After attending Professor Sunseri’s Zooarchaeology class, I developed a passion for analyzing faunal remains and I joined the Bear Bones Lab in Spring of 2023. Currently, I am working on the Mono Lake Kootzaduka’a Piute petition for federal recognition and the Estate Little Princess project.
Both projects reaffirm my commitment to community-accountable archaeological partnerships and their necessity in the future of archaeology. My interests in archaeology include zoo archaeology, coastal archaeology, environmental archaeology, and foodways.
