Clare Randolph graduated from Rice University in 2016, and has been working at the Bear Bones lab since September 2018. As a trained ecologist, Clare’s research questions tend to focus on human environmental impact. She is interested in questions of sustainability, and how past peoples have used different resources (especially marine). At the lab she is working on ways to best collaborate with community partners and locals at her and others’ research sites including using more accessible technology in the field. Clare’s next steps include graduate school where she hopes to study coral usage and sustainability of reef utilization on the Swahili Coast.
