Bianka is a First-Generation undergraduate at Cal who is set to graduate this summer 2019. She is majoring in Anthropology and has an interest in skeletal biology. Bianka first joined the Bear Bones Lab through UC Berkeley’s Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program in Fall 2017 and has been a part of it ever since, volunteering her time to help with bone inventory and sorting. Through the same program, she has also worked in Dr. Sabrina Agarwal’s lab. Working in both labs has given her the opportunity to handle archaeological faunal remains and bioarchaeological remains from real sites. Bianka hopes to use her knowledge of zooarchaeology and human osteology to pursue a career in the field of forensic anthropology.
