Twyla is currently an Indigenous Futures Society Intern, working with Bear Bones Lab to co-create a co-management plan for UC property with several Tribal Mentors.

My family is Nez Perce from the Wallowas, but I grew up in California. I am an intern with IFS working on tribal-forestry co-management. I have been working with members of the IFS for several years now on different cultural burn projects and archeological surveys/workshops. I am in my last year as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying Indigenous Land Management and Community Health as well as Forestry.
