
Name: Moses Mercier
Bio: Moses Mercier is from Grand Ronde, Oregon and is a member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde (CTGR). He is a current PhD student in Anthropology at UC Berkeley, focusing on the use of non-invasive methods and Indigenous perspectives in archaeology. His past experience includes receiving a BA and GIS certificate from Oregon State University in 2024 and working as a Cultural Resource Specialist for the CTGR using GPR and GIS for tribal property survey and research. Moses’s future research is based on working collaboratively with the CTGR to update, or create, projectile point typologies in the tribe’s ceded lands.
