Bio:  Michelle Katuna (Ashkenazi Jewish and non-Jewish European settler descent) is a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at UC Berkeley and Tribal Collaboration Liaison at the Marin Resource Conservation District. Michelle is interested in the impacts of settler colonialism on land stewardship in Northern California and works in collaboration with Tribal and Indigenous partners to co-develop processes and guidance that may help non-Indigenous private landowners and environmental agencies/organizations better support Indigenous stewardship and respect Tribal sovereignty.
