Jakob Dahl graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Scandinavian studies. Previously he had worked on the Picuris Pueblo Collaborative Zooarchaeology project under the mentorship of Melanie Cootsona, cataloging faunal collections and creating community-facing artistic deliverables. He was also part of fieldwork for the Missing American Airmen Project, partnering with the DPAA to recover servicemen lost during WW2. Particularly driven by the prospect to engage in archaeology as a means of disseminating information back into communities, Jakob Dahl is interested in utilizing the tangibility of archaeology to promote accessibility and cooperation.
