Bio: India is a current archaeology PhD student in the Anthropology Department at UC Berkeley. She is interested in ancient subsistence methods, economies, and trade activity in the Neolithic to Bronze Age eastern Mediterranean, and uses zooarchaeological methods to investigate these themes. India is excited to join the Bear Bones Lab, especially in the context of connecting “Old World” archaeology with new questions rooted in modern theory. She is a recent California transplant, having graduated in 2025 from the University of Michigan.
